Belfast is an amazing place, with almost too many things to see and do.  Our top events and things to do this weekinclude some brilliant live music events, free events and the secret quirky events that you might not have heard of - see you there!

*** Love’s as Warm as Tears ***
St Anne's Cathedral, Donegall Street 8th August 2014 19:30, £6-£14

In 2014 we commemorate the sacrifice of millions on the battlefields of World War 1. In this concert, The Ulster Youth Choir perform works by serving poets and composers who, through their writings, reflect their hopes for liberation, peace and reconciliation.

*** Hat Fitz and Cara Robinson ***
Crescent Arts Centre | 9 August 2014 | 8.30pm | £12 / £10 | +18s

The combination Hat Fitz with Cara Robinson has been described as a match made in heaven and after witnessing a live performance and listening to their music it's impossible to dispute that description. The wildness of Hat Fitz’s performance is still there, but is now tempered by the bewitching Cara. She draws on her soul background (she’s toured Europe and the United States with singers such as Jamiroquai and Corrine Bailey-Rae), and although blessed with a sensational voice she was not content to be labelled as ‘just a singer’. She has taken to drumming duties as well as washboards, flute and tin whistle, sometimes all at once.

Their music is still blessed with that “old timey” feel and flavour, as shown on their latest release “Do Tell” which was produced by Australian blues legend Jeff Lang.  Book Here

*** The Floating Speakeasy ***
The Red Barn Gallery, Rosemary Street 9 August, 9pm, £8

Belfast's most exclusive party brings a taste of the 1920s to the Red Barn Gallery on Rosemary Street.Come along and dance to Electro Swing at this month’s Floating Speakeasy. A live candlelit DJ set from Belfast's Dimebag DJs together with live jazz drums, 1920s visuals, and a lively dancefloor!

Tickets are strictly limited so book in advance to avoid disappointment.

*** Inside Out ***
